Launch of ArmAgro Platform at Inclusive Insurance Innovation Lab Ecosystem Event

On October 9, the Inclusive Insurance Innovation Lab Ecosystem Event was held at the Central Bank, where the Armenian team of the Inclusive Insurance Innovation Lab, organized by the Access to Insurance Initiative in cooperation with GIZ, presented the prototype of the ArmAgro platform developed within the project.

Mkhitar Azatyan, Executive Director of CARD AgroCredit UCO CJSC, and Armen Vardanyan, responsible for external relations and fundraising, were also invited to the meeting.

The ArmAgro platform will allow visitors to find affordable information on innovative, high-efficiency, and climate-friendly solutions in agriculture. It will also provide insights into insurance benefits and enable users to contact insurance companies for agricultural insurance policy offers.

Key speakers at the event included Hovhannes Khachatryan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of RA; Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of RA; Leticia Karnevali from the GIZ Armenian office; and Tereza Pelanda, Coordinator of the iii-LAB program of the Access to Insurance Initiative. Artak Manukyan, a member of the Board of the Central Bank of RA, concluded the event with a final address.

A panel discussion on "The Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture in Armenia" took place during the event, featuring representatives and experts from the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment, the Insurance Union of Armenia, various insurance companies, and the Union of Ararat Grape Growers.
